On Thursday, Sanjay Raut, leader of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration, comparing the new Parliament building to a “five-star jail” and threatening to hold sessions in the old building if his party’s alliance forms the government.
You can’t do any job in the new parliament; it’s like a five-star prison. The formation of our government will commence with a session of our historical parliament, often known as the old parliament. While addressing media in Mumbai, Raut suggested that Prime Minister Modi increase the number of candidates he aims to run for the 2024 elections from 400 to 600.
On Wednesday, he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Yavatmal event, during which he disbursed funding for the Maharashtra Rajya Namo Shetkari Samman Yojana and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The former program provides farmers with an annual credit of Rs 12,000 (6,000 from the federal government and 6,000 from the state).

“PM speaks lies, he is addicted to speak lies…don’t know where this addition comes from,” Raut continued, noting that “maximum number of farmers died by suicide where PM Modi did a rally yesterday.”
Sharad Pawar, he said, was the sole minister who assisted Modi’s government in the agriculture sector during his time as chief minister of Gujarat.
“When Modi was Gujarat CM and the UPA government has imposed an undeclared boycott of the Gujarat government, at that time it was Sharad Pawar only, who was the Union agricultural minister at that time, who used to help Modi government in the agricultural sector,” stated Raut.
“Sharad Pawar, when he was the Agriculture Minister before 2014 was one of the best agriculture ministers India ever had, it is said by none other than PM Modi…,” according to him.
