Actor Radhika Apte said Saturday that she and other airport passengers were held in the aerobridge for hours after her aircraft was delayed.
The actor, known for “Badlapur”, “Andhadhun”, “Pad Man” and “Lust Stories”, posted her experience on Instagram without specifying the city, airport, or airline.
“I had to post! I had an 8:30 flight today. The flight is still unboarded at 10:50. The flight announced boarding and locked the aerobridge, Apte said.
She also released a video of passengers behind a locked glass door.
The 38-year-old actor claims security refused to unlock the doors for nearly an hour, locking youngsters and elderly passengers.
“The staff is clueless! Their crew isn’t on board. The crew changed and is waiting for new crew, but they don’t know when they’ll come, so no one knows how long they’ll be trapped in.
“I briefly left to talk to the ignorant staff woman outside who kept stating there was no problem or delay. They just told us we’ll be locked in until at least 12pm. No water, no toilet. Thanks for the pleasant ride “Apte.
Apte appears in Sriram Raghavan’s “Merry Christmas”. The film, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, opened Friday.
