The heist comedy, helmed by Rajesh A Krishnan and starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, has begun with a promising start.
As per a report on Sacnilk.com, the movie has garnered a total of Rs 8.75 crore at the domestic box office on its first day of release.
With an initial box office collection of Rs 8.75 crore, the comedy film featuring three female leads exhibits potential, however it falls below Kareena Kapoor’s last female-centric film, Veere Di Wedding, which was co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
The 2018 film, helmed by Shashanka Ghosh and starring Sonam Kapoor and other notable actors, achieved a remarkable box office collection of Rs 10.7 crore on its first day of release. Nevertheless, it is important to mention that Veere Di Wedding was released before to the onset of the pandemic.
Due to the highly favorable word-of-mouth, lack of competition from recent Bollywood movies, and the influence of the holiday, it is expected that Crew will experience a significant increase in revenue on Saturday, which is the second day.
Crew centers on the lives of three women working in the aviation business, offering a humorous storyline that explores the difficulties encountered by airlines. Nevertheless, their expedition encounters unforeseen twists and turns, entangling them in a complex network of deception and unexpected events.
Aside from the three main female actors, Crew boasts an exceptional ensemble cast of Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Rajesh A Krishnan, renowned for his work in Lootcase, directs this film, which features a star-studded cast presenting an entertaining performance.
