Three nurses were terminated from their positions at the Dau Kalyan Singh PG Institute and Research Centre, a government hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on the grounds that they allegedly filmed footage inside an operating room. Dr. Hemant Sharma, the facility’s deputy superintendent, reported that three nurses, namely Tripti Dasar, Pushpa Sahu, and Tej Kumari, were terminated on February 23, in response to a formal complaint lodged against them. The nurses also disseminated the viral reels via social media.

According to Dr. Sharma, each individual was employed as a daily wage staff nurse at the government hospital. The trio captured the videos on February 5 within the operating room of the burn and plastic surgery unit. The occurrence was brought to the attention of the Assistant Nursing Superintendent, who subsequently notified the appropriate authorities.

Additionally, he asserted that filming and creating reels within operating rooms are prohibited activities at the hospital. Inside the operating room, the nurses donned footwear and sandals that they typically wear outside. “They allegedly misbehaved with the ward in charge when she objected to their act,” according to him.

One of the reels shared by hospital administration featured three nurses dancing to songs such as “Fir rahu mai dar badar” and “Why this kolaveri di” while holding surgical instruments in their palms while donning the green dresses utilized in the OT.

According to Navbharat Times, the three nurses who were designated to work in the hospital’s Emergency Medical Department abandoned their duties, violated the rules of the operating room, entered while wearing slippers, and created the reels.
