When asked who he would rather see at the Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA in 2024, Parthiv Patel answered Axar Patel instead of Ravindra Jadeja.

The current Twenty20 International series between Afghanistan and India has Axar in superb form. He has taken four wickets in two matches at a 5.1% economy rate, putting him in first place at the moment.

The rapidity with which Axar bowls makes it difficult to stay on top of him, according to Parthiv.

The precision with which he strikes the ball is his greatest asset. For the most part, he avoids bowling in the slot. He can only be attacked with the feet or by clearing space. The rapidity with which he bowls makes it difficult to use your feet, according to what Parthiv said on Jio Cinemas.

For Parthiv, Axar is the epitome of a cricketer “who can perform everywhere” because of his powerplay bowling abilities.

Anywhere he goes, he can put on a show. I believe Axar provides that steadiness in this T20 format, although Ravindra Jadeja is certainly a topic of conversation. The fact that he bowls during powerplays enhances his cricketing abilities, he said.

After scoring four wickets and allowing only seventeen runs in Sunday’s second Twenty20 International at Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium, Axar was named the match’s most valuable player. He ensured that India restricted Afghanistan to 172 runs on a fantastic batting surface by taking the wickets of Gulbadin Naib and Ibrahim Zadran.

Parthiv stated that Axar’s power-hitting talent makes him more valuable to the club, even though he hasn’t batted in the series.

“Indeed, certainly, in this format. More variety is brought in by Axar, in my opinion. Bowling is just one aspect of his game. He can hit a variety of spots. Axar is a power batter, which is a must for this Indian squad. From my perspective, Axar is superior to Jadeja in this style,” Parthiv continued.

On January 17, in Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, India will play Afghanistan in their third and last Twenty20 International.
