Officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported that 20-year-old Demarkus Davis gave up trying to evade police custody on Saturday due to the freezing conditions. (Office of the Sheriff of Shelby County)
Davis decided it was preferable to be locked up than frozen after walking through the cold for around 45 minutes.
According to the police, the young man surrendered himself after he flagged down a passing vehicle.
According to the Memphis police, Davis returned to the station because he was too chilly to continue. (Digital Fox News)
His bond amount is $76,000, and he is currently in custody.
