Google Introduces Gemini Advanced and Rebrands Bard as Gemini - The Hard News Daily

It is official: Gemini Advanced has been launched by Google. The subscription tier of Google’s most powerful AI model is currently operational, as confirmed by various stories and statements made by CEO Sundar Pichai during the company’s quarterly earnings call. The free generative AI chatbot, Bard, has also been renamed to Gemini as it now uses the Gemini Pro paradigm. Gemini Advanced is now on sale for two months at no cost as a promotional offer.

“A new experience far more capable at reasoning, following instructions, coding, and creative collaboration,” Pichai declared in the newsroom, announcing the debut of the subscription tier of the AI. He added, “The version with Ultra will be called Gemini Advanced.” In addition, he disclosed that the Google One AI Premium plan, which would include the Gemini Advanced membership, will be combined with Google One. Consequently, in addition to 2 terabytes of cloud storage, subscribers will also enjoy all the other perks of Google One.

A different post highlighted the benefits of Gemini Ultra, saying that it could “create step-by-step instructions, sample quizzes or back-and-forth discussions” and act as a personal tutor for someone who needs help with schoolwork or wants to improve their skills. Users can rely on the Ultra model for complicated coding tasks such as producing, analysing, editing, and debugging because of its proficiency in advanced coding. Google Advanced is a great tool for digital artists since it can develop content, analyze trends, and provide inspiration for audience growth and engagement.

The website and an Android app will offer the free versions of Gemini (trained on Gemini Pro) and Gemini Advanced. The Google app is where iOS users can test out the AI assistant. A Google Advanced subscription will cost Rs. 1,950 per month. On the other hand, the IT behemoth is offering a special deal where customers may test it out for two months at no cost.

Concurrent with the introduction of the subscription tier, Google formally changed the name of Bard to Gemini. If you want to see our most powerful models up close and personal, Bard is the place to go. Pichai further clarified that the name change from Bard to Gemini was to better reflect the sophisticated technology inside.
